In our new series of Employee Spotlights, you get to meet our brilliant Unifii team members! This month we meet Theodora, who has been in the Unifii family for over four years - read more to hear about her journey.
Meet Theodora Papadogianni:
Hey, my name is Theodora and I’m the Company Secretary at Unifii. I’ve been with Unifii for a little over four years and am one of the few non consultants!
How did you become interested in the industry and how did you stumble upon Unifii?
I stumbled across Unifii (then called Service Integrators) by luck! During my interview I didn’t know very much about what ServiceNow is and the power and flexibility of the platform. I have now come to love ServiceNow and end up demanding that we use it for almost all our internal processes.
What do you enjoy the most about working at Unifii?
The company culture is the thing I enjoy the most. Even though we’ve grown rapidly (particularly over the last year or so) we still maintain the ‘small team’ spirit - everyone is eager to help and teach, and there is a very friendly atmosphere. I am also very lucky to have joined at a period of great growth to the company - since my first day, we’ve changed the company name, opened an office in Edinburgh and Hyderabad, expanded to Dublin, matured our processes and still we keep growing and evolving. It’s amazing to be part of such fantastic change as it keeps the environment fast-paced and exciting.
What has been the most exciting project you have worked on in your time here?
I’m not a consultant, so I don’t work on client projects, however I have been was lucky enough to be involved in some internal Projects for Unifii, all within ServiceNow! One of them was the Employee Portal, which acts as our company intranet: it’s where where we submit our timecards, leave requests, view policies and knowledge articles and more! We have a fantastic portal team and they’ve done a great job with our own portal, which we’re constantly enhancing and improving. Also, the team has built our own performance management system that we use for our objectives and performance reviews. It’s great to see the abilities of the platform and to be part of shaping our ways of working, as we keep enhancing all of our internal processes in ServiceNow all the time. It makes the work we do genuine, because we use and love the software ourselves.
Did your working life change much as a result of COVID-19?
The biggest change was having to work from home and not seeing and hearing from my office colleagues. The nature of my role means I don’t get to talk to many of my colleagues on a day-to-day basis, and as the work becomes busier it’s very easy to lose touch. I also didn’t have a proper office set up so for the first nine months of the pandemic I was working from my living room table (as did many others I suspect)! As life goes back to ‘normal’ we are slowly opening up our offices, and it’s so lovely to see the familiar faces as well as the new joiners in person!
How do you see yourself growing in the next few years?
Work life at Unifii is always exciting and challenging! I have grown massively since my first day and learned more than I can explain. Growth is a big part of the Unifii culture of working, and everyone always has opportunities to grow and progress. It’s thrilling to be part of this dynamic and I cannot wait to continue this upward trend.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love reading or listening to books and I’m addicted to watching DIY or ‘anything with loads of chocolate’ videos on Instagram. I watch many documentaries and listen to the History extra podcast a lot. I’m also one of those people who started baking bread during the pandemic and I now make a sourdough loaf (almost) every week! Other than that I adore travelling - I grew up in Greece and cannot wait to go back home for a visit soon, I miss the sea and the food!
